A Review of GV Canned Tuna and GV Yogurt

Great Value, or GV is a brand produced by Wal-Mart. GV products are often much more affordable than the national brands sitting right beside the GV line on the shelves at your local Wal-Mart. In this multiple product review I will share my thoughts and opinions about the GV line of several products. I will also include a recipe that is very easy to prepare.

I eat a lot of tuna, as it is among my favorite foods. I like starkist tuna, but it is semi expensive when compared to Great Value canned tuna. For about sixty cents per can you can enjoy the same great taste, and even more value when it comes to canned tuna in water. What I love about tuna, other than the fantastic taste, is how you can do so much with it. Canned tuna is great on its own, or on crackers, you can mix it in with macaroni and cheesy for a tasty meal, or you can make a dish of tuna salad. I drain the water off of the can of GV tuna, and offer it to my cat, who loves tuna water. The tuna can then be combined with a teaspoon, or two or mayonnaise and a dash of spicy brown mustard. This creates a simple, but nutritious sandwich spread. You can make two nice sandwiches from one can of Great Value tuna, at under one dollar total. GV produces a quality canned tuna, that could be compared to Starkist or Chicken of the Sea tuna products. It is much more affordable than the two mentioned brands, making GV a great buy.

GV also makes a great yogurt, that is comparable to dannon or Yoplait. Great Value yogurt retails for about forty cents a container, as the national brands of yogurt retail at about seventy cents per container. Great Value yogurt is available in an assortment of regular and light flavors that taste great and are very cost effective. I personally don't like paying more money for a name, when the products taste so similar that I can't tell a difference. I would recommend the Great Value, or GV brand of yogurt and canned tuna to anyone who is looking for a quality generic, or store brand to replace the costly national brands. You won't give up quality or flavor when you buy either of these brands, but you will enjoy the savings.

I hope this multiple product review helps you to save money, and make an informed buying decision.
