A Review of the Hotel Monte Carlo in Ocean City, Maryland - Not the Most Modern Hotel, but Still a Pleasant Vacation Choice
All of the rooms at the Hotel Monte Carlo in Ocean City, Maryland are efficiency units. These units include a sink, refrigerator, coffee maker, and a toaster. The television in the rooms is a bit outdated as it is just a 25 inch standard television. It is not a flat screen. Keep in mind though when staying at the Hotel Monte Carlo in Ocean City, Maryland you aren't really there to watch television, you are there to enjoy the beach and Ocean City itself.
The hotel has two different pools that you can enjoy. The outdoor pool is located near a sundeck and also has a hot tub as well. This is a very popular hotel among the twenty and thirty something crowd, and therefore always has a crowd by the pool and hot tub. The Hotel Monte Carlo also has an indoor pool for poor weather days, or if you just want to escape the sun. There is also a fitness room on site as well as a Subway sub shop.
The location for Hotel Monte Carlo is great if you are looking to check out the restaurants around the inlet portion of Ocean City, Maryland. As long as you don't mind a 10-15 minute walk you can reach anywhere in the inlet area of Ocean City by foot from the Hotel Monte Carlo. You can also reach the inlet area of the boardwalk which is the most crowded portion and has the piers with rides and games, many stands on the boardwalk serving fast food and snacks, and several bars as well.
The Hotel Monte Carlo in Ocean City values it's guests as well I found out. As a former guest the year before I got an offer for discounted rooms this coming year. They will also give you a ten percent discount if you book an entire week at the Hotel Monte Carlo in Ocean City. On average rooms in peak summer season run anywhere from $120 a night up to $300 a night. The $300 a night ones include a Jacuzzi tub in the room.
The Hotel Monte Carlo might not be the fanciest hotel in Ocean City, Maryland. It also isn't the most up to date with technology I've stayed at. It has those old 25 inch televisions and no wireless internet in the hotel. It is in a very convenient location though, and the staff is very attentive and makes your stay very pleasant. I would recommend the Hotel Monte Carlo in Ocean City if you are someone in your twenties or thirties looking for an enjoyable hotel in a convenient location.
