The Jewelry Television website offers rings, bracelets, watches, necklaces, broaches, charms, individual gem stones and just about any other item of jewelry for men and women is available. They also have information available about the quality and care of individual gems as well as an auction site that provides an opportunity to bid on a wide assortment of items.
Consequently, I have made two purchases from the Jewelry Television website of rings with gem stones that my wife admired. Upon arrival they were opened with much anticipation. The first was a simple 14k gold ring with a one carat blue zircon stone. The price was slightly less than $80 that included mailing through normal postage channels which took about 10 days. The ring was beautiful, but the dimensions of the actual ring appeared smaller than the impression I gathered from the several pictures which were available. The value of the ring appeared to be more than what I would have paid at a local retail jeweler, so my conclusion is that I had obtained a ring that pleased my wife and saved about 15-20% of what would have been the standard retail charge.
The next item was another 14k ring with a 2.2 carat blue topaz. There are several small diamond chips on the ring that highlighted the topaz stone. I purchased this ring via their auction site for a total price of $71 which included the shipping cost. Again I and my wife were pleased and my estimate is that I saved at least 30-35% of a comparable ring at a local jeweler. This ring was a real beauty and my wife was extremely happy.
One must be warned that a purchase via the auction is not returnable. Normal purchases are returnable and several reviews I read testified to the ease of making a return if one is not satisfied.
All in all I rate the Jewelry Television website site as two thumbs up for value, ease of use and customer satisfaction. My one experience with the auction site was fantastic.
