A Review of Kendale Farm Bean with Bacon Soup: Only One Dollar

Bridgitte Williams

Bean and bacon soup is one my favorites. When I spotted a can of Kendale Farm Bean with Bacon Soup in the canned soups section of my local dollar tree store, I was delighted. While I am not familiar with the Kendale Farm brand, this soup was a bargain. I decided to purchase it, try it out and write a product review about it. Here is what I discovered!

One can of Kendale Farm Bean with Bacon Soup costs only one dollar. I liked that very low price. The picture of this soup, on the outside of the can, looked really good. I discovered that this soup has carrots, white beans, bacon, tomato puree, onion powder and natural smoke flavoring in it. That sounded great to me. I could not wait to taste this soup! It serves three.

This is condensed soup. You must add one can of water to it and stir well before heating. I heated it up in my microwave and it only took a few minutes. This soup smelled fabulous! When I tasted it, I was very impressed. This soup rivals even the Campbell's soup brand, with it's high quality flavor. Lots of tasty beans. There are actually pieces of bacon in this soup. This is a delicious dish. A relative of mine tried this with me and we both agreed that this product is a winner! I rate Kendale Farm Bean with Bacon Soup four stars out of five stars. I will be buying it again. It saves me money and it is a great quick lunch soup. Filling and hearty.

One serving of this soup has 140 calories. Only 25 of those calories come from fat. One serving has just 2.5 grams of total fat, 1 gram of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans fat, 0.5 grams of polyunsaturated fat, 1 gram of monounsaturated fat, less than 5 mg's of cholesterol, yay, 810 mg's of sodium, 280 mg's of potassium, 22 grams of total carbs, 6 grams of dietary fiber, wow, 2 grams of sugars and 7 grams of protein. This soup is rich in vitamin A and iron. This product does contain wheat ingredients. I loved trying this soup and it is now a favorite of mine. For the money, you can't beat it. This brand is a good one and certainly very budget friendly. I love that this is a fiber rich soup. My diet can always use that help.
