The Kettler Vito XL is very sturdy and the 45 pound drive method creates a smooth and quiet motion, both forward and backward. Adding to the smoothness of the motion are the variable magnetic resistance feature and the preserved ball bearings which are placed in the drive and pivot points.
Adjustable foot plates on the Kettler Vito XL allow the user to alter the elliptical pattern's angle. Even for the most fit consumers, the Kettler Vito XL provides an exigent workout every time.
The large training computer screen is easily readable and displays the distance traveled, burned calories, resistance, heart rate, and the elapsed time. Sensors are built in to the handlebars of the Kettler Vito XL to monitor the user's heart rate.
If you would prefer not to use the handlebars to monitor your heart rate, an ear clip monitor is also available with the Kettler Vito XL .You can also program your goals into the training module on the Kettler Vito XL, such as the amount of calories you want to burn or your targeted pulse range.
You can monitor the improvement of the cardiovascular training over a period of time with the training module built into the Kettler Vito XL.
Some downsides of the Kettler Vito XL are the fact that it is limited in the stride length, to only 16 inches. This can cause an uncomfortable workout if you stay on the Kettler Vito XL longer than about 20 minutes. This is quite typical for most mid-sized, low-priced elliptical. Depending on the user, however, this may pose a problem with the workout. Also, you won't find many of the added features on the Kettler Vito XL that you would find on many other mid-sized elliptical machines.
Overall, the Kettler Vito XL is a well-constructed, durable machine that provides a smooth elliptical workout. The enhanced training computer and the variable magnetic resistance are some of the best features of the Kettler Vito XL. Although the length of the stride is limited and there are not a lot of bells and whistles included, this budget-friendly piece of workout equipment will keep you fit and challenged in your workout for years to come.
