What I like about my new King Kullen:
1. Deli Counter - The people who work behind the Deli counter are very helpful. I always go to the store with my two year old son and loves Boars Head Honey Maple Turkey. When they are slicing my order they always give me a few extra slices for him for free so I don't have to open the new package as I am walking and shopping though the store. They always have an assortment of prepackaged dinners to choose from if you don't feel like cooking that night. I already have ordered two 6 foot heros for parties and they have been fresh and tasted great. The macaroni and potato salads have been fresh like they were just made.
2. Dairy Department - My son has an allergy to Lactaid so I have to buy him special Lactaid Free milk. They usually are good with this product and have it in stock but if they don't I know they get their deliveries on Wednesdays. If I miss the delivery I make sure to go on Thursday and stock up. It usually sells out quickly because of high demand and low stock. They have a nice selection of different types of cheese, always fresh. Someone is usually stocking the shelves so you can always ask them to check in the back if you don't see what you need.
3. Customer Service - I have never even had to wait on line at their Customer Service Help Desk. Returning items have been very simple, just make sure you have your receipt. Next to the Customer Service desk is an ATM and a COIN STAR. I know they charge a small fee to use them. If you go to Commerce Bank you can use their coin machine for free.
4. Pharmacy - Again this is a pleasant experience. I used to get my son's vitamins filled there. I would drop it the prescription off at the beginning of my shopping and by the time I checked out, his prescription was ready. How convenient, especially when you have a two year old in tow and can't make two separate trips to a drugstore.
5. Shopping Carts - They have the big shopping carts so I can buy everything I need in one trip. My son loves the ones they have that he can steer the steering wheel. He feels like he is driving a car. They have two different types of those carts. It makes the shopping trip a little more exciting for your little one. The carts have been very clean and there is always someone in the parking lot collecting the carts so they are not in your way when you try to park.
6. Parking Spots - Not only do they handicapped spots, they have parents with children parking spots too. This is so helpful. One thing that gets me is when I see people parking in those specific spots for children when they don't have any. So many times I wanted to say something like, excuse me, where is your child? I don't think you should have parked here. Then I am stuck in the rain running through the parking lot because they took up the spots. Drives me nuts.
7. Cashiers - Friendly and helpful. I haven't had a problem with anyone. They talk to my son and keep him occupied while I am paying. I usually pack up my groceries just because it goes faster then waiting for them to do it.
8. Meats - Here too, no problems. Nothing has been expired or really too fatty. They have a nice selection to choose from and they run a lot of sales.
To sum it up, I think you will have a great shopping experience if you frequent this store on your next trip.
