A Review of Lady GaGa's 2010 Grammy Outfits

'GaGa' Over the Lady's Grammy Ensembles

Lori Jill Shirley
Lady GaGa stole the show at the 2010 Grammy Awards with her colorful, over the top outfits. Here is my personal review of Lady GaGa's one of a kind Grammy outfits.

Space Age Orbit Dress

What a way to make an entrance! Lady GaGa stepped onto the red carpet this evening in a sparkly space age dress and canary yellow hairdo that made her look something like a cross between Tinkerbell and a futuristic Christmas tree. The first thing that came to my mind when I saw this contraption was that Lady GaGa is without a doubt her own creation and not afraid to flaunt it. Personally, this sort of brazen originality is such a breath of fresh air after a decade of pre-packed pop divas and manufactured style. I really liked this outfit, as it was sexy in a Judy Jetson kind of way and very sparkly and eye popping. This will be THE dress that is talked about this year, and don't be surprised if we see a surge of space age fashion trends in the coming year.

Glittery Green Opening Performance Leotard

Like ohmigawd! I just had a 1980s flashback! Lady GaGa's weird, glittery green leotard and pink triangle eye pieces immediately made me think of Dale Bozzio of the 80s new wave band 'Missing Persons'. This definitive 80s look hearkens back to the early days of MTV (back when MTV actually played videos) and for a gal who was only born in 1986, she really channels the style and essence of that decade PERFECTLY! I really loved this outfit as well, as it was unique and keeping in tune with the space age look she created earlier with her red carpet dress.

The 'Lightning Bolt' Outfit

Finally, in keeping with the spirit of her otherworldly ensembles that caused such a sensation through out the evening, Lady GaGa finishes off the ceremony with a shimmery silver 'lightning bolt' style outfit. Looking very much like the female lead in 'Devil Girl From Mars', I had to do another double take to make sure I wasn't seeing someone (or someTHING) from another planet. I personally thought this one was little much, as it made her look way too cartoony and unfeminine, and you simply HAD to feel sorry for the poor person who sat behind her with that 4 foot tall headpiece!

Lady GaGa may not have walked away with many awards, but her ensembles will be talked about for weeks to come. Looking back, we may not remember who won 'Best New Artist' for the year, but we will CERTAINLY remember Ms. GaGa's glittery pink Grammy dress and all that followed!

Wow I cant believe I missed it! I love her unique personality, and from what I hear she makes her own clothes with help from others! But theyre mainly hers. Some are beautiful, some are wild, as if shes trying to wear her soul on her sleve, because her songs are from her heart. She'll always come out with something new!

Nobody can top her! Many have tried but just look like copies. About time someone whos not a clone stepped up!

Great recap! No one can ever say Lady GaGa is boring, that's for sure. :-)
