A Review of Lamaze by Learning Curve Toys for Baby

ABB
My baby has different types of toys that he could potentially play with, but over and over again, he goes back to his Lamaze by Learning Curve toys. These multi-sensory toys are good from birth to 24 months, per the tag that is attached to his stuffed animals. Often in the forms of animals and insects, each toy is unique, but every one is high-quality.

The wonderful thing about Lamaze toys is that they clip on! This prevents a lot of lost toys or them being thrown on the ground in an unsavory location. You can hang the toys from the handle of the carseat while you are shopping to create an instant mobile. The baby will just stare at them when he's tiny, but begins to swat at them as he gets bigger. If you slide the toy farther down the handle (and the clip is big enough to accommodate this, rather than being too small so that it just stays farther up), the baby can grab it and start chewing on it. They really help you get through the store more quickly as the baby is entertaining himself between you talking to him.

The toy that has elicited the most delight from my son has been Jacque the Peacock. When he was a newborn, he could stare at the black, white, and red that was on the back of the peacock's tail. Now that he is older, he enjoys feeling all of the different textures, listening to the crinkly fabric inside of the feathers, and listening to me squeak the toy. It is small enough that he can hug it to him, but large enough that when he's a toddler he won't seem like he's carrying around a toy meant for newborns. Each of the toys has a different name, like Eddie the Elephant, Buzz the Flutterbug, etc. This is an extra element of fun as your child can have a name for each of his plush friends.

Each of the Lamaze toys has a little face on it. This is so helpful in teaching the baby about features. You can point to the eyes, nose, mouth, etc and then gently touch the baby's to help them learn what features they have. Some of the toys have rattle part inside of them and others have plastic parts that can be chewed on or twisted around and make a noise. Some have different parts that each make a different noise. All of them have different textures and usually some ribbons that the baby can hold and feel the difference of while you explain them to him. Plus they just enjoy having something cuddly to hold!

These toys are well-sewn and hold up to a lot of wear and tear. They are easy to wipe clean. Remember to never leave them or any other plush animal or blanket in the baby's crib or bassinet. I encourage you to try a toy by Lamaze. You and your baby will both enjoy them.
