A Review of Laundry Detergent Products

All Small & Mighty and GV Color Safe Bleach

GV, or Great Value makes a lavender scented color safe bleach, that I recently put to the test along with All Small and Mighty laundry detergent. In this multiple product review I will share my thoughts and experiences with consumers to help them make informed decisions before spending any cash on these items.

GV, or Great Value is made by Wal-Mart and I have been purchasing GV, Great Value brand products for several months now in an effort to cut down my costs. I saw the GV brand of color safe bleach in a lavender scent at a bargain price of about three dollars per container. I decided to give it a shot, as it is half the price of Clorox 2 color safe bleach. The GV lavender color safe bleach smells really nice. I like to use a color safe bleach to insure I have the freshest and cleanest clothes possible. My initial thoughts were not all that positive, as my clothes were not as fresh and clean as I had hoped they would be. Initially I believed that it was the fault of the GV color safe bleach. However I determined quite easily that it was not the bleach, but the laundry detergent was not doing its job. I will say this, I noticed that you will need to use more GV color safe bleach than instructed to notice results. So maybe this isn't a terrific product made by Wal-Mart. I would not compared GV color safe bleach to Clorox 2, and I probably won't purchase it again for the simple fact that if you are using twice as much as directed to notice results that you really are not saving any money.

All small and mighty laundry detergent intrigued me because the bottle is significantly smaller than any other bottle of laundry detergent on the store shelves. I initially wanted to try this laundry detergent product out because smaller packaging equals less waste. I did like the scent of the laundry detergent, however I was skeptical. Is it possible that you can use less product to wash your clothes and achieve equal or better results, using a significantly less amount of detergent? The packaging claims you can do up to 32 loads of laundry with one bottle. I would have to disagree on this statement. I found that I had to again use more product than directed to get my clothes as clean as they should be. Therefor 32 loads turns into about 22 loads.

Overall I was not impressed with All Small and Mighty Laundry Detergent and I won't purchase it again. All Small and Mighty laundry detergent does not preform as well as Tide or Gain, and therefor is not worth purchasing, as you really aren't saving money when you have to use more of a product than advertised. All Small and Mighty simply isn't a good bargain.
