A Review of Lenny's Sub Shop

West Memphis, Arkansas

Jacob Horn
This review is based on the Lenny's Sub Shop located at 1806 North Missouri Street in West Memphis, Arkansas. The zip code is 72301 and their phone number is 870-733-9700. Oddly enough, the fax number is also included on the receipt so if you want it, here it is, 870-733-9830. Lenny's is located close to McDonald's and Krystal. It is also located close to the Howard Johnson and West Memphis Christian Schools. It is right off Interstate 40/55 on Highway 77/North Missouri Street.

The decor is very much like any other sandwich shop you have been. They do have a very nice big screen TV that is normally playing Cardinals baseball games or other local sport teams. We have visited this location probably close to 7 or 8 times and each time has been a fairly good experience.

I always order the number one (Classic Sub). Their website (www.lennys.com/section.cfm) says that this sub has approximately half a pound of meat of cheese. I normally do not get Lenny's Hot Pepper Relish but I must have forgotten to ask for it not to be put on because this time it was a little spicy. With that being said, each and every time I get this sub it is delicious. My wife branched out this time and got the number twelve (Grilled Chicken Philly). She absolutely loved it and I also thought it was pretty good.

The total price of our meal was $9.29. We did not order any drinks or side items-just two subs. We did use a coupon (found on the back of Kroger receipts) that allows you to buy 1 regular size sub or salad and get 1 regular size sub or salad for $2.

If you are in the Memphis area you have to try Lenny's Sub Shop. In my opinion their subs are better than Subway and they have more meat and cheese. We were introduced to Lenny's probably about 6 months ago and we have had very good experiences. I think it is definitely better to go in than drive through because it is easier to make the perfect sub when you are right there hovering over the entire process.
