A Review of Loreal Double Extend Beauty Tubes Mascara

Quest for Lush Lashes

Summer Saldana
I'm the kind of girl that if I was stranded on a island and I could only have one makeup item, I would without hesitation choose mascara. This should tell you just how much I love the stuff.

I'm always on the hunt for the best and most affordable mascara that will give me the longest lashes possible. Because for me, long lashes is all a girl needs. Well, that and cute clothes, hot shoes, and the perfect purse. Oh, and of course, chocolate. But, along with all that if you don't have long lashes, how can you be complete?

In my quest for Lush Lashes, I have found what I believe to be the best mascara known to woman. Loreal Double Extend Beauty Tubes. It's genius and it makes me happy. In fact, I get giddy each and every time I get to apply this and leave the house. I'm seriously in love. In a, this mascara completes me, sort of way.

First of all, it makes your lashes longer than you can imagine. Mine, for example, touch my eyebrows when they never did before. And they fan out so lovely. You couldn't achieve such a look without gluing on the falsies.

Secondly, it works like a waterproof mascara without actually being a waterproof mascara. Let me explain. You can cry your little heart out, nothing will run. You can accidentally rub your eye, and there will be no smudging. It stays on when you want it to stay on. And when it's time to take it off, the fun really begins. You take a warm wet washcloth and soak the lashes. Then you just wipe away and the "tubes" (which will look like your lashes falling off, trust me though, they aren't) will fall right off. Again no smudges, and no staining the washcloth. It's awesome and it's like magic.

Who knew a mascara could bring so much fun and joy into a girls life?

Before you run off to purchase this tube of happiness, make sure you follow these tips. Read the directions on the package. It will help you to love it even more. Apply the white side first and then immediately, before it has a chance to dry, apply the black side. Then move onto the other eye. And when it's time to take it off, you must use the washcloth. If you want to keep your lashes that is.

Also, in my research I have found Walmart has the best price for this. But, who can put a price on perfection. Shop away.

Now you'll read other reviews that may or may not agree with me, but I really believe I am the ultimate expert. Remember, I'm the girl stranded on an island with mascara that doesn't run or smudge. I know my stuff.

I have never found a mascara that could stay on my lashes, until this one. I tried the $30 mascara that promised to stay on for 3 days, and it ended up under my eyes in less than one hour. But this one stays on, from 7 am to past midnight, until I decide to take it off! The only drawback for me is that the brush is too large, and the mascara tends to clump on me. It isn't true that it has to be removed with a cloth. I use a cotton pad soaked in warm water, press it against my lashes for a few seconds, and then the mascara comes off with a stroke from my fingers.

Kristen! I know, huh?!? I had a friend tell me they looked like falsies.

    It is the best invention....EVER!

Oh my gosh, I too have bought this mascara and love it. My own mother even asked me if they were my own lashes. I wear contacts so periodically my eyes water, or I"ll rub them so this works so great, it doesn't smudge or run down your face. Cheapskate mom, dont be afraid, it comes off very gently. I usually take mine off in the shower, wet my fingers and hold them on my lashes a few seconds and it comes right off in tubes, super easy and super gentle. It takes a bit longer to apply with the two differnt coats but is so worth it.

CUTE! Love this review. I just bought some mascara and I am not happy with it. I may have to run out and get some beauty tubes! The only part that scares me is the fact that you have to wash with a washcloth or lose your lashes..? Hmmmmmm I'll have to investigate that a little further, lol!
