I am a fan of many Michelina's brand frozen dinners. Recently, I came across Michelinas Zap Ems Gourmet Turkey in Cream Sauce with Pasta Dinner in the frozen dinners section of my local grocery store. This dinner looked good. I decided to purchase it, try it out and write a product review all about my personal experience with it. Here is what I discovered!
I bought one Michelinas Zap Ems Gourmet Turkey in Cream Sauce with Pasta Dinner for a bit over one dollar. This meal has white turkey meat, cream sauce, pasta, peas, carrots, bell peppers, spices, onions and many other ingredients in it. It is also low in calories. I could not wait to taste it!
This frozen meal is perfect for microwave cooking and that is how I chose to prepare it. I vented the box, heated on high for three and one half minutes, uncovered, stirred, re covered, continued to cook on high for one more minute, let stand for one minute, uncovered, stirred well and served. This dish looked great and smelled fantastic. When I tasted this turkey, veggie and pasta meal, I liked it. It has lots of wavy pasta and creamy sauce. A fair amount of peas, carrots and white meat turkey pieces are in this dinner, too. The dish tastes very good. The pasta is tender. The turkey, sauce and veggies make this meal fun and delightful. While, it makes a great light lunch item, it may need more food served with it to make a decent evening meal. A salad and garlic bread go well with this dish. It is fairly hearty and filling, for a lunch item.
I rate Michelinas Zap Ems Gourmet Turkey in Cream Sauce with Pasta Dinner three stars out of five stars. It could use a bit more turkey in it. Still, it is worth the money, in my opinion. This meal has 240 calories. Only 60 of those calories come from fat. This dish has 7 grams of total fat, 3 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans fat, 20 mg's of cholesterol, 540 mg's of sodium, 36 grams of total carbs, 2 grams of dietary fiber, 3 grams of sugars and 8 grams of protein. This meal has decent amounts of vitamin A and iron in it. It also has vitamin C and calcium. This product does contain milk, wheat and soy ingredients.
I enjoyed trying this frozen dinner and writing a product review about it. It is affordable, low cal and tasty. So easy to prepare, creative, different and gourmet tasting. The blend of veggies, turkey, cream sauce and pasta is worth a try. For the low price, this one does deliver.
