Fans of the Wii Fit will be happy to know that there is a new add-on with extra games and some cool new features. The Wii Fit Plus can be purchased as a bundle (which includes the balance board and is for those who don't have the Wii Fit already) or as a game disc that replaces the Wii Fit disc.

The disc is reasonably priced at just under $20.

New Wii Fit Features

In a new menu option titled My Wii Fit Plus, you can choose from a list of exercise routines. There are routines for warming up, improving your posture, and ones that target specific areas of the body. You can also make your own routine based on your favorite games and exercises.

Another new feature is the counting of calories burned. Based on your weight, the degree of difficulty of the activity, and the amount of time spent exercising, the Wii Fit Plus will tell you how many calories you've burned after each activity. You can set a goal of calories to be burned each day. In "Calorie Check" you can see how many calories you burned in terms of food.

Another new feature is that during the body test, instead of 2 balance tests, you get 1 balance test and 1 mental test, such as a prediction test or a peripheral vision test.

For Wii Fit users who noticed they couldn't register their children who are under 3 years old...now you can! Babies and little kids can now be weighed, but still can't play the games. You can also now register your cat or dog and they can be weighed as well.

Wii Fit Plus Games

The Wii Fit Plus has 3 new yoga poses and 3 new strength training exercises. It also has a new category of games labeled "Training Plus." There you will find 15 new games, including rhythm kung fu, snowball fight, an obstacle course and a golf game which analyzes your swing.
