A Review of Nivea's for Men Cool Hair and Body Wash

Nivea has a three in one product, which is advertised to shampoo your hair, wash your body and be your shaving gel. There are two reasons I wanted to try this product.

The first reason is I hate to have my shower cluttered with bottles and cans of stuff which I try not to spill or drop onto the floor while I am showering. If there is a product which will eliminate everything but one bottle I would happily use it.

The second reason is that when I was in China I purchased a Nivea shave gel which was the best I ever used. This product is not available in the U.S. My hope was the three in one product would work as well for shaving as the Chinese purchased shave gel.

The Nivea for Men Cool Shampoo and Body Wash cost $6.49 for a 16.9oz bottle at my local Walgreens store. This is a reasonable price if the product does all that it is intended to do. The bottle itself is 9" tall, 4" wide and 1 ½ inches thick in the typical Nivea dark blue color. The size and shape of the bottle make it easy to hold and use. The top flips up easily and th contents squeeze out as a semi-gel.

The "cool" menthol fragrance is not over powering and does not stay with you after showering. It is pleasant to smell while using. I used the Nivea for Men Hair and Body Wash with both a wash cloth and a scrub brush. I poured a small amount onto the cloth and it was enough to wash the upper part of my body. Since I had just come in from working outside I poured a small amount on my scrub brush and scrubbed the dirt off my feet, knees, and fingernails.

The Nivea for Men Hair and Body Wash did a very good job cleaning the dirt and sweat away. I was very pleased and rate this as the best body wash product I have used. What makes it better than the others I have tried is the consistency of the liquid. It is not too solid nor is it runny. The soap is strong enough to clean a man's dirt without being harsh. Other brands I have tried left me with dirt still in my knees and under fingernails.

The next test was shaving. I shave my head and face each day while in the shower. I put about a half dollar size of the Nivea in my hand and spread it over my head and face. The gel stayed where I put it and did not drip off my face or head. When you shave your head, you want to be able to see where you are shaving and not have a glob of foam to plow through. The Nivea did not foam up and provided a close and comfortable shave. It passed the test.

As for the shampoo part it is really difficult for me to rate this product as to its ability to resist tangles or deep clean long hair. The product performed so well in the other two areas it is hard for me to imagine that it is not a good shampoo. The little hair it did clean for me was done well.

Nivea's for Men Cool Hair and Body Wash will be my product of choice as soon as my supply of Bald Guyz runs out. I look forward to the day there will be just one bottle on my shower shelf and I will no longer have to use a soap to rinse after shaving. This is a quality product, reasonably priced, and well worth your try.
