I love flounder and when I came across Ocean Market Flounder Fillets in the frozen fish section of my local Dollar Tree store, I almost fainted. I was delighted. I purchased these, decided to try them out and write a product review all about my personal experience with them. Here is what I discovered!
One dollar flounder fillets? No way. Way! These are hand trimmed, boneless and skinless. When I discovered that these were microwaveable, I flipped out. They are low cal, low in fat and protein packed. Fabulous. You can prepare these in many different ways. They come in a tightly sealed package. You can boil them, microwave them, steam them, pan fry, bake or poach them. Wow! I decided to microwave them. I pierced the pack and placed the flounder on a microwave safe plate, cooked on high for two minutes, flipped over, continued cooking on high for two more minutes and served. These looked great and smelled wonderful. I could not wait to taste them!
When I tasted Ocean Market Flounder Fillets, I loved them! They are tender, juicy and very flavorful. They are also very fresh tasting. I like to add butter to mine and that is all it needed. A relative of mine tried these with me and she loved them. One package is one serving and it is a hearty serving. You can make a gourmet seafood meal in a jiffy with these. They impressed me and they are high in quality. They go straight from the freezer to the oven or microwave. In the microwave, they are ready in a few minutes. Fabulous! I rate these five stars out of five stars. They are perfect. I will be buying them again.
One serving has 104 calories. Only 12 of those calories come from fat. One serving has 1 gram of total fat, 0.5 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans fat, 55 mg's of cholesterol, 93 mg's of sodium, 0 grams of total carbs, 0 grams of dietary fiber, 0 grams of sugars and 22 grams of protein. Marvelous! This is wild flounder and it tastes so good. I highly recommend it.
I loved trying Ocean Market Flounder Fillets and writing this product review all about them. I discovered that this brand has tilapia, catfish, salmon and many other types of frozen fish. For one dollar, you can't beat this product. It is a winner! Cheap and good seafood that really is gourmet. Can't go wrong with this one.
