A Review of Outback Restaurant in Okemos, Michigan

I went to Outback, a casual restaurant in Okemos. Right when you go through the first door there is always someone right there to open up the second door to welcome you in. They say hello and ask how you are. I thought that it was an excellent first impression. Then you walk in and you see the host stand and there is another worker there to see how many people are in your party and if you prefer smoking or non-smoking. Then they walk you to a table that fits your parties size and its preference.

I was surprised to see that they still have smoking, most places do not anymore. The smoking area is just at the bar, but obviously the smoke is all around. The restaurant decor fits how the employees dress and the food they serve. It is a more casual place, but good for taking your family out for dinner or for a first date. The lights are dim which makes the restaurant more comforting. It gives it a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. There are televisions in the bar area for people to sit and watch games and have some drinks. The service at the bar is actually a little better than at tables, where it is a little under-attentive.

The bathrooms are very clean and are a good size for the size of the restaurant but they are not as easy to find. You almost have to ask to find the restrooms. The hallways and aisles are big enough for people to get around, the restaurant is pretty stretched out. Overall, Outback looks clean, organized, and spacious. As for the parking lot they have a lot of parking spots for their guests. There are two entrances; they have a main one and a side entrance. The main entrance is where they open the door for you and the host stand is located. Well, from the side entrance, you would have to walk to the front of the restaurant to get seated.

Overall I enjoyed my visit at Outback, I would go back there and recommend it to others. The service there was excellent every time I have been there. They also have a nice menu and the food there tastes great! They take all the major credit cards and cash for payment.
