Palm Beach Community College offers students the ability to choose from numerous Associate in Arts Degrees, Associate in Science Degrees, and Certificate Programs. The school also allows students with a 3.5 GPA or higher to participate in their Honors Program and there are various merit scholarships and grants available to students with financial need.
The campuses of Palm Beach Community College are all centrally located and spread out throughout the county so that all residents have an opportunity to attend classes. In addition, the school offers most of its required Associate of Arts courses online. All of the campuses offer students numerous amounts of courses and degree programs to choose from.
The Boca Raton campus of Palm Beach Community College is located on the campus of Florida Atlantic University off of Glades Road. In addition to the usual classrooms and bookstore, the Boca campus contains a wellness center, and since the campus adjoins FAU, students can use the FAU library. The Palm Beach Gardens campus is located on PGA Boulevard and provides students with a horticulture nursery and athletic fields. The Belle Glade campus is located in western Palm Beach County and features the 470 seat Dolly Hand Cultural Arts Center.
The Lake Worth campus is Palm Beach Community College's main campus. The campus is located off of 6th Ave South and Congress Avenue and is made up of 114 acres and consists of 51 buildings. The Lake Worth campus offers the most degree and professional programs of all the campuses and it is home to many organizations. The campus also houses the Duncan B. Watson Theatre, an entertainment venue that showcases college performances and professional productions as well.
Palm Beach Community is a great place to start your college education. Not only is the tuition lower than the four year state universities in Florida, it is a good way to get your feet wet in the experience of college. Plus, if you decide to get an Associate Degree, you will automatically be granted admission to any public university in Florida. Palm Beach Community College can provide students with some excellent opportunities for the future. Regardless if you decide to continue on with your education after graduating from Palm Beach Community College, a degree from Palm Beach Community College will get you started on the right path in life.
