This flash-based digital player provides you with everything you need for music and recordings at an affordable price in a compact size. You will be pleasantly suprised at the sound quality coming from this diminutive gadget.

The Sansa SanDisk digital player will quickly replace your old discman. You will soon wonder how you lived without this little device on your walks or runs. It also saves you from the annoying hassle of skipping CDs that even the highest quality discman can't seem to avoid. In addition, the Sansa SanDisk serves as a great voice recorder to record meetings, class lectures, client sessions or even interviews. The compact size easily fits in the palm of your hand and can be carried in a purse or even your pants pocket quite comfortably.

The Sansa SanDisk supports Microsoft PlaysforSure subscription music. It also features the capacity to make voice recordings, record music from the radio and to download your favorite CDs or music downloads onto it. There is a radio tuner with digital FM with the capacity to preset up to 20 of your favorite radio stations.

The Sansa San Disk requires one AAA battery. The company asserts that the battery will last for approximately 15 hours of continuous standard playback; however, I have found the battery life to last only about 10 hours. It has a high speed USB PC interface connection allowing fast transfer of files. The Sansa SanDisk has 2 GB flashmemory which will enable you to record hundreds of hours of voice recordings or holds up to almost 500 songs.

The built in color display on the Sansa SanDisk also enables you to load your favorite photos onto the interface. The interface color is very high quality and allows up to 64,000 colors and displays cover art and photo thumbnails.

The voice quality of the Sansa SanDisk is excellent, but better listened to on a computer with earphones once downloaded. The volume is adjustable but voice recordings do sound louder on a PC. I have used the Sansa SanDisk to record sessions and have been able to pick up sounds from across a room that is approximately 20 feet long.

The Sansa SanDisk plays MP3, WMA and audio files. It requires Windows XP, Windows Media Player 10+, an Intel Pentium class PC or higher, CD-Rom capabilities and USB 2.0 port for transfer of music files.

The earphone plug is located on the left of the device, The USB port connection is located at the right, enabling you to easily download your recordings or music onto your PC. The control panel is in the form of a circle which enables you to easily fast forward, rewind, stop or find songs with one hand, using just your thumb. This is perfect for those who wish to use the Sansa SanDisk on their athletic pursuits.

The Sansa San Disk comes with earphones, a lanyard, a USB cable and software disk included. A pouch or other protective device is lacking with the package and would have been a nice addition to keep the Sansa SanDisk clean. While a little difficult to use at first if you are not an electronic gadget junky and have never had an MP3 player before, the directions are straightforward and fairly easy to follow. You quickly get used to the Sansa San Disk and at an extremely affordable price, you will surely want to replace your old discman or walkman with one of these for just about $100.00.
