We have made Santucci's a into a special family spot where we head if relatives are in town or we have a child's birthday or other event to celebrate and we have always been more than satisfied with the things you want most in any place where you dine. Of course the quality of food served at Santucci's Pizzeria is of prime concern, even if you are providing a meal for a gathering of young cousins. The Pizza possibilities are considerable as three different kinds of crust are offered along with your selection of cheeses and toppings. For those who may want to go to a non pizza selection, again there is plenty from which to choose. The salad choices seem to go on for ever, but there is also soup, pasta meals, subs and paninis. We never seem to have room for dessert but if that's your thing you won't be disappointed at Santucci's Pizzeria and Italian Grill. As this restaurant bills itself as selling New York Pizza it continues the New York Theme by offering New York Cheese Cake in addition to its selection of cake, apple crisp and brownies. Next time I will have to remember to leave room for dessert.

The service at Santucci's is not elegant - this is not a stylish, upscale restaurant. But at Santucci's Pizzeria and Italian Grill we have always found the wait staff to be friendly, courteous and anxious to make your time there pleasant. Food is always delivered promptly and an effort is made to make sure that all patrons have exactly what they need and what they ordered. There are lots of smiles here, a willingness to get with the mood of the group and a family friendly atmosphere that makes you glad you decided to bring your family here instead of some fast food establishment.

What we especially enjoy at Santucci's are the extras that mean so much to the children. Santucci's really can be a great place to bring your children for a birthday party. There is an eating area that has lots of room for children to get down from their chairs and move around. Wait staff gladly rearrange seating to accommodate family groups and there are always plenty of high chairs so that even the toddlers feel part of the party.

If you are a planner, plan on visiting Santucci's on Thursday evenings from 5-9 p.m. Thursday night is kids night which means free pizza for kids under 12 when accompanied by an adult. There are lots of special things going on and you can even win free pizza for a year - Wow!!! But what the kids always warm up to is the chance to watch magician John Henry do his thing. Not only can he pull coins out of very strange places, he is also a whiz with balloons which he cheerfully twists and turns into flowers, crowns, swords and even pumpkins to the delight of all. He visits tables and really has a wonderful way with the kids and adults alike. There are also treat bags for kids to take home when they leave.

In the five years that we have been visiting Santucci's Pizzeria and Italian Grill, Norwood,MA we have never been disappointed and have encouraged friends and relatives to visit and party there as well. We'll be back for our next kid centered party.
