A Review of Seaweed as a Supplement

An Inexpensive Supplement

Rik Rodriguez
Taking seaweed as a supplement is an inexpensive way to have more natural energy. It only makes sense that if we ate a substance from the ocean that we would feel healthier. The oceans make up is similar to our own blood in salinity and mineral content. We just happen to have a very similar proportion of minerals in our blood as sea water. So it seems that to ingest something that would also have the same minerals in similar proportions could greatly enhance our physical being. I know from first hand experience using seaweed to feed my plants and also using it as a supplement has kept me quite energetic for years.

You can buy seaweed very inexpensively, even some of the major stores are carrying it now. I recently picked up a months supply for under $10.00. You can find it online by searching for it. It seems that you may pay a little more for it online and their are several companies that are charging a bit to much for their seaweed as far as I am concerned. I have paid almost $20.00 a bottle for it but it did not seem to be any better than the inexpensive bottles.

I have been taking 2-4 gel caps of it for several years on and off. I seem to always feel better when I take it. Sure you can read about all the wonderful things its supposed to do for you that probably you will never feel. But I do know I sleep better and I have more energy during the day when I take it. It doesn't contain any caffeine of stimulants. I prefer to take it in gel caplet form. They are just gel caps filled with powdered seaweed basically. Of course you can buy seaweed in powder form in most cities in the USA. This can be added to your food or you can buy gel caps yourself and fill them. Yes it makes quite a mess. Adding the seaweed powder to your food is good but only in small doses, remember it is seaweed. In my experience any product that is inexpensive, natural and enhances your health is worth having. Seaweed seems to be one of the rare products left that is affordable makes sense to me.
