The iPhone 4 has a large, beautiful display, and for that reason, it's a good idea to protect it in some manner. Two of the few drawbacks to the iPhone's display is that it can show a fair amount of glare and that it can collect smudges. An anti-glare screen protector can reduce both of these issues significantly, and can protect the iPhone's screen against scratches from day-to-day wear-and-tear.
The Speck ShieldView iPhone 4 anti-glare screen protector is relatively easy to apply. The protector is packaged with a film adhering to either side. First the film on the side of the screen protector that adheres to the screen is peeled off and the screen protector is placed on the phone. Then, the film protecting the front of the screen protector is removed. The application process is relatively simple, and everything is well-marked, but it can still offer some difficulty.
The iPhone 4 screen must be cleaned thoroughly before application of the screen protector, or else dust can be trapped and form bubbles under the screen protector. If the bubbles result from the application (not from dust), they can typically be squeezed out at the time of application with a flat surface, like that of a credit card. Just go slowly, and don't peel off the front film too quickly, or it will pull the screen protector off.
The Speck ShieldView anti-glare screen protector works very well. It reduces the glare of the iPhone 4's screen and any smudging to a significant extent. As I mentioned before, the application process is relatively easy. Only one bubble remained after the application of my screen protector.
Where I found the Speck ShieldView iPhone 4 screen protector, it cost $9.95 for three anti-glare screen protectors and one film for the back side of the phone. This is a great deal in case an individual has trouble applying the screen protector or if several members of a family have the iPhone 4. I wholeheartedly recommend the Speck ShieldView anti-glare screen protector as a way of making the iPhone 4 experience even better.
