The Stop Global Warming website is a decent website. For starters, the main navigation bar is easy to follow. It's a simple horizontal navigation scheme at the top of the page. The graphics that accompany the main navigation scheme mix well with it.
Another nice quality about the Stop Global Warming website is the color scheme. The white background gives the website a friendly feel to it, and the traditional blue color clearly states the difference between the text and the links. It feels very professional.
It should also be noted that this website loads fairly fast. The image files appear to be crisp and clear; they appear to have been compressed correctly. I should know, I'm on a lousy dial up modem. If the image files had been overly large, I would have noticed.
The Stop Global Warming website layout is also very well done. The most pertinent information is towards the top. This is what the majority of people will focus on when they first view the website.
The web designer(s) appear to have been quite thoughtful with the formatting of the paragraphs. Each paragraph is only a few sentences long, which makes it easier for people to read.
The majority of people who view webpages tend to skim read, so making the paragraphs short and to the point is essential for most websites. The grammar is also excellent. I found no misspelled words, or grammatical errors while exploring the website. My English teacher would be proud.
Also, it's immediately clear what this website is about. I mean all you have to know is the domain name, and you know that this website is about global warming. And once you visit the site, you're immediately reminded of the topic thanks to their logo at the top of the page.
A review wouldn't be a review without some constructive criticism. However, I don't have much to say negatively about this website because it is quite good. But there are a few things.
One thing that could be improved is the contact information. I think it should be albeit more clear or noticeable. It would be nice to at least have a phone number somewhere near the top of the page, perhaps underneath the logo. At the very least, the contact button could be with the top navigation scheme instead of the very bottom navigation scheme.
There is also a lot of scrolling to do on the first page of the Stop Global Warming website. Maybe they could shorten up the tips for the stopping global warming section albeit. Instead of twenty one different tips, perhaps they could make it just ten. There could be a link that states "more tips" for those individuals that are interested in that specific section of the website.
Stopglobalwarming.org is one of the better websites on the Internet that is dedicated to providing you with information about global warming. While it's not a perfect website, it is still quite good. With time and a few more critiques, I'm sure it will become even better.
