I am a fan of many Stouffers brand name frozen dinners. When I came across Stouffers Family Sized Escalloped Chicken & Noodles Dinner in the frozen meals section of my local favorite grocery store, I was thrilled. This dish looked so good. It was also on sale. I decided to purchase it, try it out and write a product review all about it. Here is what I discovered!
I purchased Stouffers Family Sized Escalloped Chicken & Noodles Dinner for under four dollars. Wow! Now, that was a sale price. This meal is normally around six dollars. It has five servings in it. This dish has white meat chicken, freshly made fettuccini noodles, crispy veggies including peas, celery, carrots, mushrooms, all in a creamy Alfredo style sauce. And bread crumbs on the top. Along with skim milk, eggs and spices. That all sounded so yummy to me. I could not wait to taste this meal.
This dish is perfect for microwave cooking. You can also bake it in a conventional oven. I decided to microwave it. I placed the tray in my microwave, cooked on high for twenty minutes, removed cover, continued microwaving on high for five more minutes. I then let this dish stand in the microwave for five minutes. This meal smelled great and looked fantastic! When I tasted this dish, I loved it! The noodles are tender and perfectly cooked. Even in the microwave, wow. The veggies are indeed crisp and fresh tasting. There is not a lot of chicken in this meal, but what is there is tender and juicy. I especially loved the breadcrumbs and creamy sauce. Very good. This dish is delicious. It is also hearty and filling. It feeds four nicely, along with bread and salads. It is so easy to cook and it saves me money. It is also a very creative dish for pasta and chicken lovers. I rate it four and one half stars out of five stars.
One serving has 280 calories in it. 110 of those calories are from fat. One serving has 12 grams of total fat, 2 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans fat, 30 mg's of cholesterol, 770 mg's of sodium, 28 grams of total carbs, 2 grams of dietary fiber, 2 grams of sugars and 15 grams of protein. This dish has decent amounts of calcium and iron in it. This product does have soy, eggs, milk and wheat in it. This dish is distributed by Nestle USA.
I loved trying Stouffers Family Sized Escalloped Chicken & Noodles Dinner and writing this product review about it. It is very tasty. If you can find this frozen family sized meal on sale, it is a sure winner, in my book. I recommend it. All that tried it at my house loved it. I agree. This meal is preservative free. Awesome!
