A Review of Trader Joe's Shave Honey Mango Shaving Cream

I've been using Trader Joe's Shave brand honey mango shaving cream for more than a year now, and I don't think I'll go back to a different shaving cream. It's effective, inexpensive, and healthy. What makes Trader Joe's shaving cream so good?

The shaving cream comes out more like lotion than cream. It's not like shaving cream out of a can. It comes in a plastic bottle which looks kind of like what your face soap comes in. I use it in the shower because it's always better to shave your face in the steam. The shaving cream comes out smoothly and is applied like soap. It's very convenient and very easy to use. It seems like it was designed for people like me, who like to shave in the shower.

Trader Joe's Honey Mango shaving cream is smooth

The Trader Joe's shaving cream is designed as a moisturizing cream shave and contains aloe vera and vitamin E. You can tell. It's very soft and smooth. Apparently this moisturizing effect is supposed to soften your facial hair in order to make the shave easier. I don't know if that is the case or not, but my face does feel very smooth afterwards and since I don't use lotion very often, I feel like I'm still getting some benefits with the aloe vera.

Trader Joe's Honey Mango shaving cream smells good

I don't know what the deal is over the last few years with mango. I had never had a mango until last year and now it seems mango is overrunning the market in smoothies, lotion and, here with Trader Joe's, shaving cream. I will admit, though, it smells good and it seems to do the trick. My main goal with lotion, aftershave and soap is to simply not smell bad or overwhelming. The Trader Joe's Honey Mango shaving cream smells good, but it doesn't linger and isn't overpowering, which is good, because as a man I don't want my face to smell like mango two hours after getting into work.

If you're looking for a new shaving cream, I definitely recommend Trader Joe's Honey Mango. It won't break the bank and it does its job well. On the bottle it says that it's for men and women, so there ya go. My wife hasn't used it on her legs though, so I can only tell you that for facial hair, it's the best shaving cream I've used.
