Product Overview:
While I have mine sitting in the kitchen it would certainly perform just as well in the bedroom or anywhere else you could think to stick it. The styling is simple so it will fit in just about anywhere. The 19" 720p display is framed by a black bezel. The bottom portion houses the speakers and is a little thicker than the rest. The sound quality they produce is average for its size. My Dynex came with a small base made of the same plastic material as the bezel. I have found it to be quite sturdy and a perfect anchor for my display on the countertop.
The screen produces a decent 720p picture. I have mine picking up an over the air HD signal and it handles that very well with its built in tuner. My kitchen is quite bright however the matte screen produces little glare and is bright enough to prevent washing out. It certainly is a no frills little television but it is perfect for my uses.
The connectivity is somewhat lacking although not much more could be expected for a screen of its size. It does offer a single HDMI input, and it does a decent job with Bluray movies and video games. A PC input and I was easily able to sync my laptop up with the display. The remote is simple to use but rather small so I've found that it is easily misplaced.
Product Value:
This little LCD HDTV has turned out to be a very versatile display. I can see it being a perfect addition to a child's bedroom or even a great monitor / television combination in a dorm room. In my experience it has work out as a fantastic little kitchen television and has really been quite durable. I would recommend this for anyone regardless of budget. Coming in at under $230 it is hard to deny the Dynex DX-LCD19-09 of truly being a good deal.
