A REVOLUTION OF PRAYER

THE HEALING OF THE LAND

2 Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Revival is in the land! We are in the midst of a season that multitudes of God's children are bowing the knee and praying as never before. The wake-up calls have gone out; the increase in evil in earth, the signs in the weather, the corruptions being exposed in governors, the crisis in the economy; these things have caused a sleeping church to arise and pray and seek the face of God. The familiar prayer for the pleading of the healing of the land is again being taught and prayed in the many prayer movements. The fear of what is comimg on the earth prophecied by Jesus is evident everywhere. There is much emotion and confusion. Many who name Christ's name are choosing to war with criticism and accusation. The healing of the land is, and must, begin in the person of the believer, in his home and family, then in the land, corporately and nationally. God's order is clear in the 2 Chronicles scripture; prayer, humility, a personal repentance and turning from wicked ways, and then healing. As homes and families are brought into his right order, the domino effect of righteousness will begin to bring change to our own hearts, then our families,schools, churches, businesses, and government offices.

Ephesians 4:31

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

Galatians 5:16

This I say then, walk in the spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh

The conservative mindset must become the Kingdom mindset.Many are as righteous Lot, whose righteous spirit was vexed by the evil of Sodom, but was not called to bring change to it. He was rescued from it by the warrior Abraham. Many in the land in this time are vexed by the evil around them but are not armed with spiritual weapons of the gospel of peace and reconciliation. A call of repentance and personal cleansings has gone out and ahs been heard. As a result, many will bow the heart and earnestly seek the deliverance of the Lord from a spirit of personal anger that causes us to war as flesh against flesh, beating the air but never able to get the victory. The mature spiritual man recognizes that satan is the source of the evil, and that the wars require preparation in prayer closets and obedience to the voice of the Lord through his anointed elders.

1 Corinthians 9:24,27

Don't you know that they which run in a race run all, but one receives the prize? So run, that you may obtain. And every man that strives for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that just beats the air: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

We can see a great awakening occuring in the midst of the chaos around us. An awakening from the sleep of complacency and tolerance of evil. We know that the Lord has planted the seeds of righteousness that cries out to see revival and restoration of godly values in the nations. He has been faithful in going ahead and making provision for this time by preparing many Daniels and Esthers and Gideons for the repairing of breaches and the shakings and re-alignments in seats of government. This remnant and their disciples are expert at educating the public and guiding us by right examples; in turning us back to the whole-hearted devotion to the Lord, in teaching us how to discern between good and evil, and alerting us to beware of hidden agendas in the church, the business world and in all thrones of authority. These mature leaders will not war with carnal weapons; they are trained in warfare using the mighty weapons of Jesus that will ensure the victory. They will speak truth in love while pleading for salvation and mercy over the souls of un-regenerate men who are spiritually blinded. Let us be careful to pay due honor to our spiritual fathers and mothers in this critical time. Those who serve on the front lines are satan's main targets. They fight demons in the power of the Lord for our good.

Micah 5:7 says: "The remnant of Jacob will be in the midst of many peoples like dew from the LORD, like showers on the grass, which do not wait for man or linger for mankind."
