A Riddle? I Doubt That

Coffee Mugg

What has been told,
Has been said,
If you're looking for gold,
You're out of your head.

Love comes in all shapes and forms,
When there is love,
Someone is adorned.

Open a box of crackerjacks,
Do you look for the cracker?
I have never seen a cracker in there.

You want a riddle,
I am not in the mood,
I would rather play my fiddle,
This I have construed.

If you understand,
What is being said,
You are better than I,
For I am out of my head.

Just remember what I told,
Never forget,
For I am too old,
To be your pet.

Simplicity abounds,
The most difficult task,
I hope you have found,
What I have asked.

If you make this hard,
You went the wrong way,
Maybe look in your yard,
Not in the hay.

If it isnt,
Then it is.
