A Romantic Evening

He arrived home. He was extremely tired from his business trip. He glanced around at his most humble abode who he shared with his most lovely, beautiful Queen, his wife. He was alone. Then there was a knock at the door. He went over to see who it was. It was his Buddy.

"Hey. What's up?" He said.
"Hey, how's it going," said Buddy. "I just came over here to tell you guys thanks for helping us move in last week. Also your wife told me to give you this whenever I saw you today. She was here earlier then She left out in a hurry."

Buddy handed Him a note. "No problem, what are neighbors for?" He grabbed the note, thanked Buddy and they said goodbye.

He read that note aloud:

"Sorry, honey. I got to work late tonight. Don't wait up. Love you! XOXOXO"

"Ah, man", He said disappointingly. "I really miss her..."

He works for a big advertising company that calls for Him to take trips across the world frequently to do business with foreign companies. His business trip was supposed to be two days but was extended due to a delay at the airport. This caused them to miss their anniversary. His wife is a Real Estate Agent and lately She has been in a slump and is working to get out of it. All of this kind of keeps them apart from each other. He thought this shouldn't interfere with their love life. So He decided to make this night worth while.

He rushed from store to store picking up particular items for the special event. When He arrived at home He set the things for dinner on a counter. He diced vegetables and cooked a roast. He set the table for a romantic dinner for two with decorations and beautiful new plates and silverware with wine glasses to match.

There was a knock at the door. It was Her. He didn't open the door because it was already unlocked. Instead he set up a stereo system to play soft and romantic music. The very same kind that She likes. She looks around the room with a mixed emotion of awe and confusion. The house was all dark except the dinning room which was dimly lit. She came in and He was right behind Her. "Baby, what is all th..." and before She can finish He took Her by the head and kissed Her. "Hey babe," was His response. She was left speechless. Even though She always says that to Her this time is different. She has never been left speechless, or more so dumbfounded, by those words like She is now. "Why don't you go have a seat over at the table" He suggested. She did and He then brought their food to the table.

"Honey, what are you doing?" She said.
"What?" He said. "Can't I fix my beautiful queen some dinner"
"But this is a tad bit."
"Nothing's too much for you." He said softly.
"I would literally go to the ends of the Universe for you."

She looks at Him and smiles at His corny but sweet statement.
"There it is." He said.
"What?" She replied
"You have just made me the happiest man in the world"
"What? What did I do for you to feel like that?" She asked.

"Your smile," He said. "You have no idea how long I've been waiting to see that heavenly smile of yours, again. You don't even know what that does to me, do you? I'm not even going to lie to you, honey. I had the opportunity to sleep with another woman on my trip. I told her she was gorgeous. But I would rather stare at my wife than break a vow with the women I love by sleeping with you and she stormed off. I so happened to have a picture of you in my cell phone. I wasted the entire battery life staring at it and thinking of you." She looked at Him for what must have seemed like five minutes but he broke the silence by saying "You better eat your food before it gets cold."

They sat and ate and talked for hours. She looked at Him and said "Every thing was delicious but why you had to go and by my favorite wine, You know I can't resist and I can easily get drunk" His response was a mere "I love you." She laughed. "Well I need to..." He had interrupted Her again. He picked Her up and carried her to the bedroom. "Now you get situated then I want you to come to the bathroom. Okay?" He said. She got undressed and got into her brand new red velvet bathrobe that was placed on the bed for her. She opened the door and found red rose petals leading toward the bathroom. She saw Him sitting on the tub waiting for Her. Scented candles were all around the room. Her favorite fruit, peach, scent filled the room and the rose buds were in the tub. "Take off your robe" He said. She did and got into the tub. The tub was filled with fresh spring water and scented suds, rose petals, and bloomed rose buds. He started to massage Her shoulders as she sips her favorite wine. "Ooh baby" She said. He satisfied her every "spot". He even washed Her hair. Then when He was done He took an acoustic guitar and played a beautiful and gentle serenade.

She almost fell asleep until She fished her out the tub. She was so overwhelmed by the pampering and slightly inebriated. She felt good all over. She was in deep ecstasy. She opened Her eyes and stared into His. They can see the fire in each other's eyes as He headed into the bedroom and closed the door behind Him. He laid Her out on the bed then...
