A Rumor of Spring

Donna Cavanagh
I heard the sun was getting ready
To make a warm appearance
It thought it might comfort our frozen souls
A reward for our strength and perseverance

For a short while, we will feel a balmy heat
Well - at least it might soar to 60 degrees
Warm enough to abandon our coats and gloves
A rescue from the heartless deep freeze

I sense some giddiness in the air
The kind that only the warm sun can bring
I feel a new excitement for life
That only comes with the birth of spring

Enjoy the peek into the new season
If the cold returns, do not despair
The flowers will bloom; the songbirds will sing
And we will dance again in the warm spring air

I experienced the entire spring in one day (see article!) and now that I've returned a month later, spring has sprung here in Ohio and I didn't miss a thing. I'm so lucky!

I like this one! It's refreshing. I have been having trouble leaving comments too. For some reason I always get in as a guest even when I am signed in.

Hey Donna--I've been having trouble with the site lately, not able to open pages - they keep freezing up and not letting me sign in. Has the site been slower for you or do you know if others experience glitches like this?
