A Saw 2 Review

Allie Bojko
Saw 2 does exactly what the first movie does but so much more with it's fascinating and wicked sense of thriller and fear but in full throttle. It's great in how they define this movie's genre on whether it be mystery, thriller, shocker or even horror considering all of the unexpected turns and twists and it's for simply this reason alone that make's Saw 2 as one of the more accomplished movies in it's respective genre. It's not the type of film that has people do unusual things like walking in reverse into a dark room or where the main or minor character quickly rips away a sheet off of human bodies, it's a lot better than that. Those are all signs of a movie that's way to easy too predict, instead this movie is far from being predictable that you'll never figure it out until you've seen the movie the first time around.

A little synopsis of the movie Saw 2, the "Jigsaw Killer" still does what he does best and that is to play his harsh little games but with the lives of other's. He places his next set of unlucky individuals in what appears to be a little house full of booby traps that's slowly unwinds a dangerous gas. All of those individuals are set to die in that house that is if they can't figure out what they all share in commoon with one another, they must complete the countless tasks there given in order to not only survive but to beat the Jigsaw Killer's games.

Rarely do any horror movie's get me frightened to the point whereas I'm on the edge of my seat, it's safe to say that this was that movie. When I first saw this movie in the movie theatres, there was no one in sight as far as I could tell that was sleeping during the movie or for those individuals that exit the theatre to either answer their phone call or make one, which is actually the first time I've noticed in all of my movie watching days.

Saw 2 also had a lot more gore than it's previous predecessor, but that obviously plays a big part of the movie. Saw 2 is way beyond the previous Saw movie, it's the same concept as the previous one, in how they provide hints for the viewers as well as the characters of the movie on what might be the potential outcome in a particular moment or scene herein after, it does take it's whole new game's concept a step higher. It gets you thinking to the point where you thinkg you got it all figured out but than they throw another curveball or twist. They do such a decent job in doing so that they don't in anyway ruin it, it's really difficult to gather all of the clues provided than figuring it out, which makes it one of the better thriller movies of it's time. If your seriously looking for a movie that's a thriller than be sure to rent this movie at your local theatres because it'll certainly keep you on the edge of your seat or couch. I truly appreciate all of those individuals that have taken some time out of there day to read this review I'm certainly thankful.

Good review on Saw 2. I always tease my mom about seeing Saw (not sure I really have the guts to) and she freaks out. LOL.

your review is well written and in-depth. It is truly a grusome flick but has redeeming values worthy enuff to be seen.

The Saw series has so much of what modern horror flicks are sorely lacking. Nice review.
