A Shocking Conclusion on the Finale of Solitary 3.0

Reality Rehash
With Pod 3 and Pod 4 still hanging up on the web the night would end with Val crowning the winner of Solitary 3.0. Either Pod 3, Pod 4, or Pod 7 will take home the $50,000 and be named Solitary champion. While Pod 7 was locked into the final two, Pod 3 and Pod 4 still had to fight to stay in. Both were left hanging on a single rope and both wanted to make it to the final two. Both were in agony as the rope pushed into their skin but both dropped down within 55 seconds of each other. Neither wanted to drop but did so because of the pain and were obviously upset. Pod 4 was most though as he believed he was the one going up, but neither really had a clue if they were there or leaving. Pod 3 was the one who pushed the button first though and sent her out. Unfortuantly she won't be the first women in the final two but she did great towards the end and really proved a lot of people wrong I think. She wanted to leave several times and pulled out a few wins, proving she deserved to be in the final two just as much as Pod 4.

Now that Pod 3 is gone, that left Pod 4 and Pod 7, initial pod mates, as the final two. Pod 4 was glad to stay as he's been preparing for Solitary for God knows how long and to be honest, it's no shock that he's in the finals. Pod 7, on the other hand, is a bit of a surprise but it's interesting how they were placed together initially and are now facing off for the win. Before the final treatment it was time for the last test from Val. It was a neck maze where they placed the maze over their head and navigated a gumball through the maze and into their mouths. The first to move all of their balls through would give the other a disadvantage in the final treatment, which was pivotal. Both got one through after a short amount of time but chewing while maneuvering made things challenging. Pod 4 was first to get five gumballs through so Val made it even more interesting for the last ball. She forced them to be blind for the final gumball, making things more difficult then you would think.

In the end Pod 4's early lead didn't pay off as Pod 7 caught up in the blindfolded portion, giving him the advantage in the final treatment and meaning Pod 4 would an even higher hill to climb to claim the win. Before the final treatment Val let them talk to each other through her and they had a few words for each other. They were surprised to be in the finals together as they believed they would be the final two when in the same pod. It was time for their final treatment though as Val was ready to shock them. As the two entered their pods for their last time it was time for some electricity! Ok maybe it was all for show but it still looked cool! The point of the treatment was pain. They had to hold their arms up to two poles, keeping in contact to the poles. The first person to lose contact will lose the game and give the other the win.

Pod 4's penalty round was up first and had to hold his arms up for four minutes. After that it was time for some puzzling to kick things off. Since Pod 7 got the first puzzle he only had to hold on for three minutes while Pod 4 had to hold on for five minutes. With Pod 4 getting the puzzle the second time around that gave him four minutes while Pod 7 had six minutes. It seems the point of the challenge was bring pain to the arms as holding on while stretching was building up the pain. Pod 4 was able to get the third puzzle which gave him another five minutes while Pod 7 got eight minutes. Since both were able to hang on for the short rounds it was time to push through the pain. Whoever held on the longest would win and gain the $50,000 prize.

Starting Round 4 they both had to hold on for eight minutes. They were both in pain but were ready to push through it. Neither wanted the other to win and it seems they wanted to beat their old pod mate more then gain the money. As the rounds progressed the time spent holding up their arms increased. After 20 rounds both could hardly raise their arms and it was time for one to bow out. The 21st round forced the guys to hold their arms as long as they could with no time limit. The first to drop out of this one would be out of the competition and therefore end it for both. After 15 minutes the game was over for super fan Pod 4. RobRob had trained for the show and hated the fact that he had to push the Red Button. I thought he would have easily won the season but made it fun to watch at least! Pod 7 was a more surprising win though as Pod 4 just had "winner" written all over him. Pod 7 still had to hold on though as Val would not tell him he had won. So he kept holding on for a few more minutes before finally dropping off the poles. He didn't think that he won, like so many challenge before this, but alas he did. Pod 7 is your Solitary 3.0 champion and Val let us in on the new: there will be a SOLITARY 4.0!!

I thought that #4 would go all the way but #7 was my second guess. Who would of thought the 2 who saw each other before the experiment would face at the end. I feel bad for #4 as his reaction to losing was sadening.
