Miniature Bull Terrier puppy

1. Crate, size medium (hard plastic or sturdy wire model)

2. Puppy Food (start off with the same food that the breeder is feeding and transition slowly to the brand of your choice)

3. Stainless steel bowls, 2 quart-size - at least two (four would be better!)

4. Adjustable nylon collar - 8 to 12 inches in size, with an ID tag

5. Nylon leash (6-feet long)

6. Several old towels (for drying off after coming inside and after bath time)

7. Baby shampoo or gentle puppy shampoo

8. Cow hooves (stuff with peanut butter and freeze for an extra treat)

9. Hard Nylabone toys, size medium and large (always get toys one size larger than recommended for our breed's size, because they are aggressive chewers!)

10. Black Ultra Kongs, size medium (to fill with peanut butter and freeze)

11. Doggie nail trimmers or hand-held Dremmel tool (with sandpaper attachment)

12. Small, soft bite-sized treats for training

13. A puppy class at your local dog training facility!

DO NOT GIVE YOUR NEW PUPPY ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

1. Rawhide toys of any style/size

2. Soft stuffed toys (made of fabric or fleece) unless you are there to supervise their play

3. Greenies chews (they tear off chunks and can choke or get an intestinal blockage)

4. Toys for playing tug - playing tug can throw off your pup's bite or break his teeth
