A Sightseeing Guide to Nice, France
Some Really Beautiful Places to Visit in Nice During Your Holiday
Le Chateau (The Castle)
Located on the top of a hill this very popular tourist destination, is absolutely stunning and a must see in Nice. Every day at 12 noon the big cannon from the castle shoots out into the ocean and it really is a marvelous sight. You can choose to walk up the long winding staircase to the top or take the elevator for a small price, be sure to take your camera up with you as you are bound to see some gorgeous sights ip there, the whole city of Nice is viewable from the top and really is something to behold.
Promenade des Anglais
This long boardwalk which runs on the beach is the nicest place for you to go jogging, rollerblading, or biking, I had a bike while there and would go every day down the Promenade. There will always be a lot people walking up and down the promenade both tourist and locals alike, but on the weekends sometimes the numbers are in the thousands of people which are strolling up and down which makes it barely possible to move yourself. The beach next to it is a nice spot to go sun tanning and is very popular for its nude sunbathers, it's also a great place to go swimming as long as the water isn't too cold.
Old Nice
The cobble stone walking streets of Old Nice are bright and brimming with history and culture, this very popular tourist destination is lined with stores of all types and quite a few of the nicest restaurants and cafés in the city. They have some great Irish pubs and exciting nightclubs, you will find people walking the street all night and there is no better area to go partying.
Le Port
The Nice Port which is home to some of the finest luxury yachts and motor boats in the world is a great place for people to come look at some beautiful ships while eating at some of the finest waterfront restaurants and cafés. There is a lovely little Irish pub here is one of the nicest in the city.
Well that's it for now, of course there are many more awesome places but like I said the entire city really is an attraction so take a walk through it and explore, it really is a marvelous city.
