A Silent Night - A Halloween Poem

Noreen Ann Jenkins
No laughter, no voices,

no goblins, no ghosts,

no superman, no prince,

no princess,

no Sabrina the witch,

no mummy

Not one soul !

Silently I wept

for it should be

a glorious day for the kids

to get their treats.

Instead all are fearful

to adventure out

with costumes on

to say "Trick or Treat"

with a smile and giggles.

All is silent like

they vanished

out of sight.

I wept silently

for the children.

Oh how sad it is

on this Halloween night.
