I promised my true love her own leprechaun
As her gift this Saint Patrick's Day
Unfortunately, as it turns out for me
Things haven't been going my way
I found her a horse shoe, a rabbit's foot, white
And a clover whose leaves counted four
A genie, a unicorn, three pots of gold
All these for the gal I adore
Now it's near old Saint Paddy's, and here stands this laddie
With treasures like nobody's seen
But I'll be such a clown, and I'll ne'er live it down,
If I don't find that man dressed in green!
Irish Blessing, Revisited
May the rose not rise to meet you
If you're falling on your faces
May the wind behind your backs be not a twister
May the rains that fall so light
Pass you by when you wear white
May the sun that shines upon you not cause blisters
And until we meet again,
Don't know where and don't know when
May you keep this silly blessing in your hearts
And as silly as it seems,
May it bless even your dreams
And your hiccups, and your belches, and your farts.
