A Simple Click
A simple click is all it would take
a little smile, it would make
Perhaps the piece warrants not
the effort to click that little spot?
But if a kind comment is indeed left,
why leave the author so bereft?
A tiny little number slowly counts
but the meaning of it surely mounts.
So next time you visit a written piece
if it even creates but a tiny crease
within your thoughts or heart
take a moment before you depart
to reach and cilck that tiny spot
that adds to the number the author's got.
