A Sister's Love ~ Ted Williams & Kathy ~ from the Dr. Phil Show

A Special Message from Kathy's Sister Colleen Sariotis

Diane Zoller-Ciatto
Whenever I write an article, I hope to convey a message and elicit responses that are positive and negative and give the reader a chance to voice their opinion. I have been following the Ted Williams/Dr. Phil story from the get go. Everyone could use a hero and America looks for those rags to riches stories for the good feelings they can bring. We watch television programs like American Idol and root for someone who came from nothing to instantly acquire sudden wealth. There are always side stories during the Super Bowl about how tragedy or illness affected one or more of the player's lives and how the sudden notoriety brings not only the spotlight on the people involved, but a sudden interest in the cause.

I was so pleased that Kathy's sister Colleen, who appeared with Kathy on the Dr. Phil Show reached out to me and left a comment on my last Ted Williams article to let me know how both of them are doing in rehab. You can see her comment here.

I personally want to thank Colleen Sariotis for reading my article and being nice enough to write an encouraging comment to this feel-good story. I have only one sibling, also a sister and I know that I would do anything to see that she is happy in her life. There is no greater bond than the one between siblings. When I hear that some people have not heard from a sister or brother in years, it only strengthens the bond between us and makes me wonder what could possibly come between siblings? But that has to be another story.

I am wishing for a fairy tale ending for Ted and Kathy and hope the naysayers give them a chance to turn their lives around and give us all the good feelings that this country needs in these difficult times.
