A Snowy Night in the Courtyard

Mary Martin

Snow falls steadily and quickly covering every tiny branch of the trees.

Even the very tree tops do not escape the snow cover.

Branches begin to droop bearing the heavy weight.

Street light illuminates the snow making the covered branches glow.

The soft light streaming through the trees creates a path to a bench.

The bench is nestled in a soft covering of snow as if it has been covered with a blanket.

Viewing from my porch the courtyard looks inviting; and seems as if the snow has been there for years.

It is a peaceful, serene and lovely sight.
