A Special Poem for Father's Day

Honoring Dad's on Their Special Day

Karen Gros
This day comes only once a year,
To honor our fathers,
Who are near and dear,
Believe me, it's no bother.

We pick out cards to express,
Our thankfulness, our thoughts,
By sending cards to your address,
That we have just bought.

We honor you Dad,
You taught us manners,
You spanked us when we were bad,
And helped us put seed in planters.

You were our example,
Of what a father should be,
What a fine sample,
For all others to see.

You showed us how to save money,
And how to spend it too,
You have a love of honey,
And are as sweet as you can be!

Happy Father's Day, Dad!
