A Spring Prayer Poem

Praise for the Beauty of Spring

Shana Dines
Lacy doilies of peridot,

Fan against powder blue sky.

Baby leaves burst free of buds.

Spring born for you and I.

Emerald grass lush as fur,

Beckons us to lie upon it.

Glory to the awesome wonder,

Oh thank you Lord as I ponder.

Days ago drear as death,

Skies leaden with bleak despair.

Now I draw a heady breath.

Say goodbye to winter snow.

Spring smiles in,

Beauty preens all aglow.

Dancing trees worship the King,

Flowers rejoice as nature sings.

Oh I burst with joy and praise,

Thank for spring nights and days.

I look at the other comments and can't say it better -- this is glorious, beautiful, lovely, and so much more. It seems like a miracle that spring can come after the winter we all just went through! I love this!
