A Strategy for Effectively Earning Money Online

My Time Budgeting Method for Earning Extra Money

Glynis Jolly
Are you on line to make extra money for your family? Are you struggling with this venture and may even feel like you're failing? It could be that you're not really putting yourself out there in an efficient manner. What, exactly, is stopping you from the earning potential you're entitled to? Your obstacle could be how you budget your time.

In an all-out effort to earn the most extra money I can for my family, I have become the owner of five websites and am a member of three GPT (Get-Paid-To) sites and four PTR (Paid-To-Read) sites. The web sites that I have are two independent blogs, two blogs associated with social network sites I belong to, and a web graphic business site. The only site that has cost me anything is the web graphic business and that only cost me the purchase of a web graphic software program ($179).

When you first look at all that I do, it may seem that I'm not spending any time with my family, sleeping, or even eating a meal. I do find time for all three of these things. If you're reading the ads on the net that are telling you that you don't have to work to earn money, be aware that those testimonials are coming from people who have either been extremely lucky, have gotten past those months of struggling, or are lying. Also, in my particular case, I really don't trust those ads. I will not put my money into something that isn't globally accepted. There are just too many fraud artists out there. My strategy is all about budgeting the time of each day. If you don't plan your days, you will get behind the eight ball and your chances of failing will double.

My Typical Day Earning Money

I am at my PC with a mug of coffee at 6:00am. This is the time when I check my emails. My first priority is the emails from my PTR sites because 90% of my work with them is through email click-throughs. I also check for offer approvals from my GPT sites and see if there have been comments made about any of my blog entries. If there's time, I complete a few cash offers at one of the GPT sites.

Between 7:30 and 8:30, I spend a little time with my husband while we eat breakfast. I also do the kitchen chores, and if it's Monday, I get the first load of laundry into the washer. If it's Tuesday, I'm dusting the wood furniture and the electronics in the living room.

At 8:30, I'm back at the PC checking PTR emails that have come in since 7:30. This is usually just a five-minute task because I had worked on what was in my in-box earlier. I then go to the GPT sites that I didn't get to before and do at least three cash offers and one survey at each. This takes around an hour and a half. My next activity is to spend time at the social network sites. I try to keep this time down to one hour because the pay is so low with these.

I start checking my blogs that aren't affiliated with a social network at about 11am. This includes visiting the blogs I have chosen to subscribe to and commenting on the entries when I feel I have something worthwhile to contribute, as well as checking for comments to entries I have made in my own blogs. Some days I will spend almost 2 hours with this. Other days it's only about 20 minutes.

After I am done with my blogs, I get off line and do some of the household chores. Working at home can actually be a hindrance on getting housework done. There's the planning of the evening meal, finishing up the laundry, cleaning the bathrooms, and tidying up the bedrooms.

By 3pm at the latest, I'm back on line checking emails, replying to messages and comments at social network sites, and doing research for future articles. Depending on what I'm preparing for dinner that night, I may be at the PC until 6:00 or I may be heading for the kitchen at 4:30.

My Typical Evening

Most evenings as spend away from the PC. This time is for my husband and myself. There are those rare occasions when both my husband and I will spend an evening at our computers. Yes, we have two but only one is equipped to go on line.

Organizing your time as well as your endeavors can make a big difference on how successful you are.

It sounds as though you are really organized. Now if I could get half that much done, I would be satisfied. :)

Hi Jenna. So far AC has been the most profitable but the GPT sites are running a close second. One in particular, CashCrate, has been good in the past but has been rather slow this month so far.

IT sounds like an interesting day. Which websites have been the most successful for you?
