Super Super Bowl Salsa Mexican Dip

You will need:

2 cans of Hormel chili. The turkey low fat chili with beans will work for a healthier Mexican dip.
You can also use Hormel chili with beans. For beefier dip.
2 Tablespoons of low fat or light sour cream
1 cup of cheddar cheese. You can use reduced fat cheese, shredded or in slices.
1 container of salsa. Your choice. I recommend a mild well chopped salsa.

Mix all ingredients together in a large microwave safe bowl. Heat for a few minutes, in the microwave, until all cheese is well melted. Stir well. Serve in bowl along with you favorite tortilla chips. Enjoy! This Mexican dip is hearty, full of flavor and so easy to make. A half time and Super Bowl party favorite.

6 Layer Mexican Dip Recipe

You will need:

A large aluminum baking pan
2 cans of refried beans
1 jar of mild salsa
1 can of chili
1 small container of sour cream
1 container of guacamole
1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese

Layer all of these ingredients evenly in the pan starting with the refried beans and ending with the cheddar cheese. Bake on low heat, covered, at 300 degrees, until cheese on top is fully melted. Cook slowly and check often until all ingredients are hot, melted and bubbly. Serve and enjoy this fabulous Mexican dip with large tortilla chips. If you are serving this dip at a party, provide guests with a plate and spoon to scoop the dip out and serve with tortilla chips on a plate. This is a hearty and pleasing dip that will wow any guests at a Super Bowl party. It looks great and tastes spectacular. The combination of taste, flavors and ingredients do satisfy and please!

Sure, chicken wings, pizza, potato chips, potato crisps, ranch dip and onion dip, hot dogs and hamburgers can all be served but, these Mexican dip recipes will be remembered, long after the game is over. Enjoy! They go well with beer or margaritas. Ole.

Cathy Montville recommended your 6 layer Mexican Dip in her recent Super Bowl article so I came to check it out. Sounds similar to one I make which is always a big hit at parties and family get togethers.
