A Sweet Delicious Treat or Hot and Spicy Highlights

Wonderful Tastes Found in N.C

April Higney
Recently on one of my frequent weekend trips, taking me to Chimney Rock, North Carolina, I stepped into one of the wonderful gift shops aligning the streets.(Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of this beautiful place, as we had a group of people, along with us for this particular visit.) My daughter by the hand, needing a restroom stop, I climbed some stairs to find one. After her much needed relief we continued browsing through the shop, which held delicious homemade fudge, and decadent candies, and the aroma filled the room.

On display were many items with little bowls to sample the goods being sold. I couldn't help but laugh, as my male counterpart absolutely loves barbecue sauce, taste tested one labeled, "Pappy's Hottest Ride in Town - Barbecue Sauce" Now he is one that typically enjoys a good hot and spicy thrill in various meals, but this one really took him by surprise. It set his mouth ablaze for quite some time. He had to pick it up for purchase. This one is a Kentucky "fire starter!"

To my delight I noticed a wonderful bowl of crackers and a sweet treat directly across from the displayed barbecue sauces. Pretty jars with teddy bears on the labels and golden writing of their contents. I picked up a "Clover Valley" wheat cracker, which usually boxes can be purchased at small discount stores. I scooped some of the sweet treat onto the knife and buttered the cracker, not knowing what to expect, I eagerly sampled the "Limited Edition - Pecan Honey Butter." It was so delicious and rich, that I could not help but to pick up one of the 16 ounce jars, and set it up in front of the register, where a nice lady awaited us in checkout.

Everyday I go into my kitchen, having my wonderful wheat crackers, and eat a few drenched in the sweetness of the pecan honey butter, enjoying in every bite, as though it were the best stuff ever made. It has a richness that really kind of only allows one to eat so many at once, so a 16 ounce jar can be quite lasting, unless of course you use this product in other types of dessert making.

I started to think, "Limited Edition" but I would like to get more of this treat. The jars run about near $10.00 at the gift shop, which really isn't too high a price for such an incredible snack, if you enjoy pecans, and rich tastes. I looked over the jar and found a telephone number and decided, well if I want more later I need to find out where and how, when I'm not able to get to N.C. so I called. A nice lady on the other end answered the telephone, and was very pleasant to speak with, as I inquired of a website to shop for more of my decadent treat, she directed me to the source which I'm supplying you with in this article, and I added this to my favorite website because it is loaded with a lot of incredible items as well as these sweet confections, based in the wonderful state of Texas. If ever a visit to the shop itself, I don't think I'd want to leave!

I am also supplying you with another great site for the incredibly hot barbecue sauce resources, because maybe you'd like hot and spicy or mouth watering sweet, or of course both!

I may have to order the pecan honey butter. Smokey Bones serves some with their cornbread, and it's delicious, but the kind you bought may be even better. In any case, if you like cornbread, I recommend spreading some pecan honey butter on to see what you think.

Not sure about the BBQ sauce. I like hot, but not fire hot. The pecan honey butter on the other hand sounds really good.
