A Teacher

A teacher has a multitude of missions to fulfill. She is not only expected to deliver the day's lesson, but there is a lot more in store for her. A teacher exists to educate, and to educate is not only limited to giving grades but values and personality-honing as well.

A teacher is the most versatile and indefatigable person I know. She has countless jobs, aside from being a feeder of knowledge to children, such as counselor or therapist for she can give satisfactory advices to problems, a sculptor and a potter because she can mold a child into a person, an architect for she can build many futures, and a mother for she cares for her students just like their biological mothers. And perhaps, this paper might not be enough to mention the overwhelming capabilities of a "simple" teacher.

Knowing all these things, they serve as an inspiration and reward to me. It is an inspiration and a reward at the same time because in this profession, I cold really fulfill the things that I once dreamt - a well-renowned architect, or the best doctor in town. Although I cannot directly build houses and establishments, at least I can build the future of many children. Even if I cannot perform surgeries in hospitals, at least I have the power to heal the wounds that pain my students.

Teaching is arduous, but it is definitely gratifying in the end. The plethora of personalities that each educators attend to can be tough and at times frustrating, but this diversity can further broaden their horizons and learn more themselves. The true excitement of being a teacher is that they are allowed to explore their own deficiencies.
