A Teacher's Husband Murders Her Student

I can't seem to understand what is going on in this world now a days. Why do people kill if it's not in self defense? And why are some teachers having sex with their students? This is getting out of hand and is a disgrace. Sean Powell age eighteen from Knoxville Tennessee was fatally shot outside of his teachers home. Apparently Eric McLean, the husband of the teacher found out that his wife Erin McLean, was having a affair with the teen. Erin McLean the teacher of Sean Powell met him last fall he was seventeen during the time they met. It is believed by the mother of the victim that the teacher, Erin McLean preyed on her son. She also said that her son did acknowledged to her of having an affair with his teacher. Debra Flynn the mother of Sean Powell said that she later found text messages from the both of them on a cell phone passed back and forth saying things like " come home, baby I love you and you are beautiful". Debra Flynn whom gave her son up for a adoption years ago reconnected with him in 2005. She said "these teachers are feasting on our children in school and something has to be done about it." Sean Powell had just got his license and his adoptive parents Scarlett and Jack Powell had bought him a car.

March 10, was the day that Sean Powell got shot the police where called by Erin McLean. Her husband fled in his car which was later found at the high school. Eric McLean was arrested while walking along side a railroad track about six miles away from the school. The husband Eric McLean was still carrying what police believe to be the murder weapon which was a shot gun. Sean Powell was laid to rest Thursday march 15. There was over one hundred and fifty family members and friends that attended his funeral. The Rev Lee Wallace, who officiated said "Sean like myself was not perfect, he was a boy who had hopes and dreams and goals in life like everybody else and those were cut short." Eric McLean's attorney Bruce Poston said Eric McLean is in a state of shock he can't believe what he has done. Erin McLean has moved in with relatives she has not been charged with any wrongdoing at this time. Debra Flynn the mother of Sean said that " Erin McLean should be haled accountable for some of the cause of what has happen to her soon." He was a great kid, and so full of life.

Attorney Bruce Poston said the trail will be based upon what really did happen and why did it happen, not who shot Sean cause that part is clear. This is such a tragedy. Send prayers out to the adoptive parents and the mother Debra Flynn as well as the parents of Eric McLean.
