A Third Potential Father for Smith's Daughter Emerges

Kristina Jones
LOS ANGELES - Following the death of Anna Nicole Smith, there is a new twist in the paternity case of Smith's daughter, Dannielynn. It is being reported that Prince Frederick von Anhalt, the husband of actress Zsa Zsa Gabor, may be the father of Smith's baby. Von Anhalt had met Smith while she was married to oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall II and the two had an affair which lasted a decade.

Howard K. Stern is listed as the father on Dannielynn's birth certificate, but Larry Birkhead, a former boyfriend of Smith, made claims he fathered the baby. It is being reported that von Anhalt has claimed neither man could have fathered Smith's baby because Smith was with him during the time the baby would have been conceived. Von Anhalt has stated he will file a lawsuit if either man is given custody of Dannielynn.

Von Anhalt, who is 59 years old, has been married to Gabor, 90, for over twenty years and is Gabor's eighth husband. Gabor was made a sex symbol, following starring roles in films such as "Moulin Rouge" and "Queen of Outer Space." Gabor has suffered from health problems and endured a stroke in 2005. She was partially paralyzed in an accident in 2002.

Von Anhalt claims the two started an affair and Smith always wanted to be like Zsa Zsa. Smith insisted von Anhalt treat her like a princess, just as he did his wife. Reports state von Anhalt even went as far as trying to adopt Smith, but Gabor refused.

It has been reported that on Friday, a judge had refused to order an emergency DNA test on Smith's body. The emergency DNA test was a request from Birkhead's lawyer as part of the paternity suit he had filed against Smith. The judge said that the body was to be persevered and a hearing is set to take place in ten days.

A medical examiner has reported there were no illegal drugs found in Smith's body during the autopsy. The medical examiner has stated there was no evidence of criminal activity involved in her death. It has been reported the death did not appear to occur under suspicious circumstances. The police department has vowed to investigate Smith's death very thoroughly.

Smith's body was discovered on Thursday by the former model's private nurse at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. The nurse called 911, while a bodyguard administered CPR. Shortly after she arrived at a hospital, Smith was declared dead.

Donna, her baby was in the Bahamas when this happened. She was being cared for by a neighbor I believe.

The one thing I didn't hear anything about was where the baby was when all this happened? Was she in the hotel with her?

And now a 4th potential father candidate comes into play....it is said that Anna Nicole had Mr. Marshall's sperm frozen, so her dead ex-husband COULD possibly also be the father.....what a mess. That poor child.

I said to my boyfriend that the DNA test would probably reveal a third guy! We'll see, we'll see. I am SHOCKED that there were no drugs in her system.

No. I am. I was with Anna seven times. We were in love. We adored each other. I had ticket number 59.
Folks, that woman needs to rest now. I am getting exhausted for her. All I can see is the life of a rather silly impertinent woman who was probably more sad and lost and scared than anything else for whom the world spun far too fast.

Her story just gets more and more bizarre. I feel bad for Dannielynn.

Well hopefully they can just get on with the paternity test and find out once and for all who the father is. DNA doesn't lie.

Makes you wonder how she ever survived one day as herself.

Well-written article! It is very sad to think of a child growing up without a mother.

Thanks for the info... Poor lady. Poor baby... It's odd though, they actually don't even need her DNA to test for paternity..
