A Thug's Prayer

I'm going through this shit alone,
I got people beefin' with me
and I can't do shit but face it on my own,
I got a new man in my life in my life,
that I want to take home,
But I'm afraid if I tell him my secrets,
that man will be sliding right back home.
I told him some shit today, that got his blood boiling fast.
I can't just smile and let it go,
Because I feel like I'm loosing fast.
The world is my playground and I'm stuck in the past.
My life is a story, that has crazy past.
I'm changing my path to find a new path.
I'm washing in white,
because I've been dipped in blood.
I got a mark of a beast,
that could've been dead.
I got a heart of gold ,
that if touched,
will drop dead.
I've got a urge in my heart,
to end this,
be red, be dead,
let my problems go
and tango with the dead.
Rest in peace,
but I'm turning in my grave.
Got unfinished business,
that's gonna leave people red.
Six feet underground,
people can't break bread.
I'm out to get paper,
so I can count this bread.
Let my soul rest in peace,
before I go to bed.
So Lord, hear my prayer,
save my life.
Where people just die,
keep me in your arms,
provide a new high.
Forgive all my sins,
so I can rest easy,
and Lord be by my side,
Because you know that I need thee.
And protect me from harm,
and the ones that I love,
keep them safe,
and change this thug,
into a woman of light.
Bless me Lord,
make things go right.
And Lord if I haven't told you already,
Thank you my friend,
for keeping my life steady,
but now that I'm done,
Lord watch over me,
keep me safe,
and have your protective arms
wrapped around me.

and forgive my sins,
guide me and keep me safe,
