A Toast to the 2010 New Year!

5 Ideas for a Great 2010 New Year's Toast

Debra McCostlin
One of the best things about the New Year is it invites us to clean the slate for the upcoming year. It encourages us to try new things and change bad habits. It gives us an opportunity to gather with family and friends and raise our glasses in a toast to the new adventures, challenges and blessings that await us in the coming New Year. A toast to the New Year sets the bar for the coming months and lays the framework for a spectacular 2010 New Year. If you would like to be the first to toast in the 2010 New Year then try out one of the following New Year's toast ideas.

To our loved ones:

Let us take every opportunity to tell the ones we feel affection for just how much they are truly loved lest we awaken one day to find that they are no longer there to listen. Embrace each moment with a loved one as if it might be your last and hold on to them like there is no tomorrow.

To our friends:

Friends are life's most valuable asset. Friends will remain by your side no matter what the winds of change may bring. Here's to the New Year bringing an abundance of friends and plenty of time to spend with those friends.

To prosperity:

Here's to the New Year bringing prosperity to all who are in need and bringing an end to America's hard financial times. May those who have much share generously with those who have little and those who have little share generously with their patience and love.

To a spirit of forgiveness:

Let us all pardon those who have done ill will against us. Let our hearts be free from hurt feelings and open to a spirit of forgiveness towards others and ourselves. Let us always remember what is worth fighting for and then purge the rest and open our hearts to happiness and well-being.

To a blessed spirit:

As we approach this New Year let us be thankful and grateful for all that we have. Let us remember those who are much less fortunate than us. Let us rejoice in what is and what may be in the future. Remember to live each day for today and wait patiently to see what tomorrow brings.
