A Traveler's Review of the Limon, Colorado Quality Inn & Suites
Limon, Colorado Quality Inn & Suites is a Comfortable Place to Rest!
"Choice Privilege's" is an award program offered by various hotel chains including, but not limited to, Mainstay Inn & Suites, Clarion, Comfort Inns, and of course, Quality Inn & Suites. This writer has a gazillion accrued points on the good old Privilege's card after an eleven month stay in a Mainstay, and many nights in Quality Inns, so I try to keep my status of "Hotel-Queen" or "Gold" or whatever-it-is by staying in these hotels.
After a long, long, longer, trip through Wyoming and Colorado via Interstate 40, over hill, dale, and mountain pass, pooch and I just about fell into the lobby of the Quality Inn in Limon, Colorado.
I was immediately impressed by the indoor pool just off the lobby, and the friendly staff waiting to greet me. This hotel is about an hour to the east of Denver, Colorado on Interstate 70, and a welcome site after the drive through the city. Limon is not a large town but seems to have all the amenities necessary to keep travelers entertained, including the close proximity of the Tamarack Golf Course, fishing ponds, museums and restaurants.
The Quality Inn in Limon, Colorado has a hot tub, indoor pool, business center, meeting rooms available for business travelers, and a good hot breakfast. The hotel is pet friendly with a 10.00 non-refundable fee per pet.
Rooms are clean and comfortably furnished, my king sized bed was very comfortable and there were pillows of all sizes on the bed to choose from. I like the thin ones, pooch piles up on the thick ones, so we were happy and slept like babies. The rate was $82.00 plus taxes, the same for two queen beds, which I usually choose so pooch does not hog all the covers; this night though, I took the king room and was satisfied.
All in all it was a good place to stop over, although the bathroom vanity was very small with not much room for my toiletries, and the commode/shower area was also small, but got the job done. For the price I've had spiffier accommodations, but great water pressure makes up for a lot of missing space, -- I just gotta tell ya, -- especially after a long drive! There was a nice desk area, no microwave, and the coffee pot and hair dryer worked great.
The pool was fantastic, clean and just the right temperature!
Breakfast was hot and very good, fresh cooked eggs, as well as pastries, bagels, and the usual fare.
The staff was excellent and friendly and able to provide information regarding surrounding areas of interest which is always a plus when in a new town. They even smiled when I suggested knocking out a few walls and enlarging the bathrooms!
When traveling across the western states of this great country on Interstate 70 in the future, (near Limon, Colorado), I would stop at this Quality Inn & Suites again. I would also recommend this facility to weary travelers in need of clean comfortable rest and a good hot breakfast.
