A Visit in Heaven

Charlotte Kuchinsky

I think of you,

My heart beats fast

My inner mind

Breaks free at last.

Such perfect joy

Can't be explained.

It just exists

Never constrained.

My soul rejoices;

Begins to soar.

Flying with haste

To heaven's door.

I know you're there.

I feel your grace.

My eyes can't wait

To see your face.

But stop I must.

It's not my time

To feel the touch

Of love sublime.

Back to the earth

I must return.

For your presence

I must yet earn.

Make me worthy

This I will pray.

Then take me home

And let me stay.
